FAQ: How do I report a bug ?, ... without getting flamed Options

You cannot expect anyone to respond to & assist you with macro problems if you fail to supply relevant information. Posting on a macro thread that "it doesn't work" will at best get you ignored, but will more likely get you flamed for wasting people's time.

Please provide the following when posting about a problem:

Description of problem: What do you observe, beyond "it doesn't work"
Exact error message: If there's an error in ACTool, report it word for word, exact spelling.
Version number of ACTool - (not "latest", or "newest" - exact version number is all that matters)
Version number of Decal - ditto
List of other Decal Filters and Plugins loaded **
Confirmation that you've clicked "Update" in Decal and updated your XML
Confirmation that you get the "Companion Activated .." message in the chat window when you log a character into the game


** It is recommended that you macro with only the default Decal filters loaded and ACTool Companion as the only plugin loaded. Companion sometimes interacts negatively with other plugins & filters. This problem is more pronounced on older operating systems (WinME and Win98).
